Deep where Vast Poni Canyon terminates on Poni Island stands the Altar of the Moone, reached by climbing an immense staircase to a ceremonial platform marked with a giant Moone emblem. During the events of Pokémon Moon, Nebby evolves from Cosmoem into Lunala here, and the player uses its power to enter Ultra Space. The site normally appears only in the Moon versions; Champions in Sun and Ultra Sun can arrive via Ultra Wormhole instead. After the credits, bringing Solgaleo at night or Lunala by day opens a passage to an alternate world whose day and night are reversed.
