Route 1

8 Pokémon can be caught at Route 1 in Galar — highlighted on the map below.

Route 1 runs through southern Galar, linking the player's hometown of Postwick with Wedgehurst. Early in the Sword and Shield games, Hop keeps the player out of the tall grass here because they have no Pokémon yet. On the return trip, dozing Wooloo block the road and force a detour through the grass; the flock clears out once the player receives their Pokédex.
