Standing ten stories tall in northeast Ecruteak City, the Bell Tower, called the Tin Tower before HeartGold and SoulSilver, is a sacred Johto landmark that only select people may enter. Ho-Oh once perched at its peak but departed when Ecruteak's western tower mysteriously burned. With the Rainbow Wing, and in later games the Clear Bell, the player can call Ho-Oh back and battle it on the roof; in Crystal, the Clear Bell instead draws the three legendary beasts to the ground floor, where Suicune stays to face the player.
