Glittering Cave, in southern Kalos, is where the player first runs into Team Flare, who have come to steal fossils and sell them. Luminous Moss and crystals light its long, narrow entrance passage, where wild Pokémon lurk as dark shadows that ambush the player at randomized spots, ignoring Repels. The tunnel opens into a larger chamber holding mine carts, the digging grounds of the Scientists from Ambrette Town's Fossil Lab.
