Route 13

Route 13, the Lumiose Badlands, crosses a dry expanse of red clay between Coumarine City and Lumiose City in northwestern Kalos, and contains the Kalos Power Plant, whose magnetic field lets Magneton and Nosepass evolve when leveled up here. No tall grass grows in the badlands; wild Pokémon instead pursue the player as moving dirt mounds that trigger battles on contact. A fierce westerly wind periodically sweeps the route, slowing travel on foot, bike, and especially roller skates.
