Fuchsia City occupies southwestern Kanto, entered from Route 15 in the east, Route 18 in the west, and the Route 19 beach to the south. Its defining features are its Poison-type Gym, led by Koga until his daughter Janine succeeds him in the Generation II and IV games, and the Safari Zone of the Generation I and III titles. That attraction later closes, with Pal Park taking its place in HeartGold and SoulSilver. Bill's grandfather also lives here.
