Roaming Pokémon are wild Legendary Pokémon that travel around a region seemingly at random rather than waiting in a fixed spot for a special encounter. Such Pokémon featured in every core series game from Generation II through Generation VI, with the exceptions of Black 2 and White 2 along with Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. In-game text has variously described them as wandering, migrating, or racing around their region.
