Hewn from steep, rocky mountainsides, Veilstone City in eastern Sinnoh is an isolated settlement whose stone walls lend it a chilly air; by size, only seven cities in the Pokémon world surpass it. The sea lies northward, Route 215 runs west, and Route 214 leads south toward Pastoria City. The city hosts Maylene's Gym, Sinnoh's department store, and, more ominously, Team Galactic's headquarters in the Galactic Veilstone Building along with their warehouse. It is well known for its stone.
