Buried in the heart of the Desert Resort, Relic Castle is the ruin of a city more than 2,500 years old, descending five floors and ending in a maze. Quicksand traps on the upper level drop careless visitors to the chamber below, and a Backpacker near one patch offers the player a choice of two rare Fossils. Sand blocks the depths until N awakens the legendary dragon at Dragonspiral Tower, after which Team Plasma floods the castle and the player confronts Alder and Ghetsis on the lowest floor. Post-game, a new passage opens where the sage Ryoku is arrested.
