Striaton City in southeastern Unova is bordered by the Dreamyard on its east side, Route 2 below, and Route 3 toward the northwest. Three brothers — Cilan, Chili, and Cress — jointly run its Gym during Pokémon Black and White before stepping down in the sequels, and the researchers Fennel and Amanita live here before relocating to Castelia City. Distinctive architecture fills the city's eastern half, while an elegant garden occupies the west. Route 3 remains closed in Black and White until the player receives the C-Gear.
