New Mauville is a power plant beneath Mauville City in Hoenn, reachable only via Surf, heading east from Route 110 and passing beneath the Seaside Cycling Road to reach a small offshore island. Originally conceived as an underground city, the project was set aside when wild Pokémon turned out to inhabit the complex. During Generation VI, its unusual magnetic field allows Nosepass and Magneton to evolve into Probopass and Magnezone when leveled up there.
