Route 30

Second on a new Trainer's journey, Route 30 heads north from Cherrygrove City toward Route 31, dividing partway into two branches separated by dense forest. The eastern branch climbs to Mr. Pokémon's house, where the player meets Professor Oak, receives the Pokédex, and collects an Egg for Professor Elm; the western branch stays blocked until that delivery is made. A man versed in Berries, or in Generation IV Apricorns, lives mid-route beside a matching tree, and a small cuttable tree joins the route's two halves.
