Route 48 is a brief passage in western Johto, exclusive to HeartGold and SoulSilver, leading from Route 47 to the region's Safari Zone. Starting east of the river that spills over Route 47's western waterfall, the path crosses a bridge into a patch of tall grass where a variety of wild Pokémon live, then crosses the river once more before ending at the Safari Zone Gate.
