Rich in natural resources, Oreburgh City is a mining settlement in central Sinnoh, entered either through the Oreburgh Gate to its west or Route 207 to its north. Ventilation shafts throughout town cycle stale air out of the mines below. The Oreburgh Mine occupies the city's southern section, and the city hosts Sinnoh's first Gym, where Leader Roark awards the Coal Badge to Trainers beginning their League challenge.
