Sunyshore City occupies a cramped strip of terrain in Sinnoh, squeezed between the ocean and mountain slopes, and hosts the region's last Gym. Because buildable land is scarce, the city relies on solar technology, with elevated walkways that double as energy-collecting panels. It also serves as a busy port and the doorway to the Pokémon League. Jasmine, the Gym Leader from Olivine City, visits here because the seaside setting and prominent lighthouse remind her of home; once Volkner is defeated, she hands over HM07 Waterfall.
