Route 20 loops through southwestern Unova between Floccesy Town and Virbank City, hosting both the Cave of Being — which requires Surf and Waterfall to enter — and Floccesy Ranch. Hiker Jerome bars eastward travel until the player earns the Basic Badge, after which the path drops into a small valley on its way to Virbank. It offers travelers from Aspertia City their first dark grass, and in autumn, piled leaves open shortcuts to items and Trainers unreachable in other seasons. Rain sometimes falls here in unison with Floccesy Town and the ranch.
