30 Pokémon can be caught at Route 47 in Johto — highlighted on the map below.

Carved into the sheer cliff faces west of Cianwood City, Route 47 appears only in HeartGold and SoulSilver, running between Cliff Edge Gate and Route 48. It opens up after Jasmine receives the SecretPotion at the Olivine Lighthouse. Cliff Cave links the route's stacked levels: descending leads to the sea and, with Waterfall, the route's only tall grass, while a second waterfall hides a White Flute otherwise obtainable only through trading or Generation III transfer. The upper path crosses bridges over waterfalls toward Johto's new Safari Zone.
