Route 7 is a very short east-west link in central Kanto separating Celadon City from Saffron City, and it hosts the western entrance to the Underground Path. Three small terraces divided by ledges make up the route, with gaps allowing two-way travel: the Underground Path building sits on the lowest level, the Saffron gate on the middle one, and the Celadon connection typically on the highest. A small field of tall grass occupies the middle terrace's northeast corner.
