Nothing at all — Serious is one of the five neutral Natures. No stat is raised or lowered, and the Pokémon has no Berry flavor preference.

It's never harmful, but it also gives nothing. Any Pokémon usually gains more from a Nature whose penalty lands on a stat it doesn't use — or, from Sword & Shield onward, from a Nature Mint.

When to Use Serious

Serious is a blank slate: no stat moves in either direction. That's never a problem for casual play, but it also means the Pokémon leaves a free 10% boost on the table. If it becomes a keeper, a Nature Mint can give it the stat spread of any other Nature without changing the Nature itself.
